Marco Sanchi is a PhD Researcher of the National Italian PhD programme for AI and Society (2023), affiliated to the University of Pisa and the Cirsfid-Alma AI research center of the University of Bologna.
They graduated cum laude from the University of Bologna in Law and Juridical Sciences (2022), with a thesis titled: “The criminal AI: on the accountability and legal personhood of artificial offenders”. They then continued their studies by obtaining an LLM on "Law of the New Technologies and Legal Informatics" at Cirsfid, University of Bologna (2022).
Research interests include ICT Law, Autonomous Vehicles, Transport Law and AI Law, which converged into a PhD project proposal on the implementation of Explainable Artificial Intelligence for a transition towards Autonomous Mobility as a Service in the European Union.
