Marco Mariani graduated with highest honours in Law, Political Science, Public Administration and Security Studies, and Social Sciences for Non-Profit Organisations and International Cooperation. He subsequently furthered his academic and professional education by completing three postgraduate master’s programmes and several additional university courses at various institutions, including Bocconi University, LUISS University, Sapienza University of Rome, the European University Institute, and the University of Camerino.
He is a founding partner of Catte Mariani Law Firm, based in Florence (www.cattemariani.com ), and is qualified to practise before Italy’s highest courts. His main areas of expertise include administrative law, land-use and planning law, public services and public procurement law, environmental law, and economic regulation.
He is the author of numerous academic publications, including five monographs, the editorship of thirty-seven collective volumes, and seventy-one articles published in legal journals. He has also delivered papers and lectures at more than 200 conferences and non-university training courses.
