Personal Information

Marco Lorusso, born in Putignano (BA) 22/06/1996.

Education

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2018 and my Master's degree (cum laude) in Physics, specialising in Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics, in 2021.

Academic Career

In March 2025, I obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of Bologna with an Excellent with Honors evaluation.

Scientific Activity

  • In the period March 2023 - February 2024 I participated in the CERN Doctoral Student fellowship program, with the PhD research project named: "FPGA implementation of Machine Learning algorithms for the CMS Level-1 trigger".
  • Since February 2025, he has been working as a Research Fellow at INFN-CNAF, within the Farming group. His work focuses on the development of the Big Data Platform for the centralized management of heterogeneous data collected from multiple CNAF hosts, with the goal of making them accessible to different tools for log analysis, predictive maintenance, machine learning–based analysis, and the analysis of security scan results.
