Marco Bigelli is full Professor of Corporate Finance at the
University of Bologna. After qualifying as a chartered accountant
in 1991 he worked in the corporate finance department at Imi Bank
Luxembourg. He obtained a PhD in Finance at the University of
Bergamo, Italy, in 1995. Professor Bigelli is an established
teacher of executive programmes and he has been Professor also at
the Johns Hopkins University and he is currently Visiting Professor
at the University of Lugano, University of Paris XII and University
of Strathclyde. He founded borse.it, a company leader in Italian
online financial information, and he is currently sitting on the
board of directors of a bank.
He published two books and many papers mainly on corporate
governance, non-voting shares and seasoned equity offerings on
Italian and International journals as Journal of Corporate
Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management,
Journal of Empirical Finance, European Financial Management,
Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management and
Governance.
