PhD student since november 2023 at University of Bologna, in collaboration with the italian National Agency for Meteorology and Climatology (ItaliaMeteo) and the Emilia-Romagna Regional Agency for Environmental Protection (Arpae).

The research interests concern the study of dynamics and predictability of the atmosphere with numerical models, with special applications to meteorology. The investigated phenomena regard especially the processes of deep convection in the atmosphere, which are studied also with a computational fluid dynamics approach and high-resolution numerical simulations.

I currently work with a state-of-the-art ensemble data assimilation scheme, focusing on the assimilation of satellite data in the convection-permitting model ICON, studying the impact of these data both on the forecasting of convective systems and their physical properties reproduced by the model.
