Received research grant and fellowship for the study of urban history,  Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM di Milano (2001).

Researcher of medieval history since 2002.

Member of the Italian National Archival Association and of the Italian Association for the study of Urban History.

Primary research interests include history of the renaissance city.

Participated in a national research project on historical atlases of Italian cities focusing on the virtual reconstruction of historical cities (coord. F. Bocchi). 

Member of the supervisory commission for the PhD program in History and Informatics.

Participate in the Nu.M.E project (Nuovo Museo Elettronico della città di Bologna), coord. F. Bocchi.
