Manuel Fiori

Manuel Fiori is a Contract Professor at the Department of Philosophy, University of Bologna, where he teaches the Writing Laboratory in the MA program. At the same university, he collaborates with the Chair of History of Philosophy as a teaching tutor. He received his PhD in a joint supervision (cotutelle) agreement between the University of Bologna and the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, with a dissertation titled "On the Problem of Obscure Representations in Kant's Anthropology. A Historical-Critical Survey", supervised by Professors Francesco Cerrato and Heiner F. Klemme. In 2026, he was awarded third prize for the best dissertation of the PhD program in Philosophy, Science, Cognition, and Semiotics at the University of Bologna. His research interests focus on the history of theories of the unconscious in the philosophical psychology of the German Enlightenment, with particular attention to the thought of Immanuel Kant.
