Since 2026, he has been an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna. He holds a degree in Architecture and a PhD in Architectural Composition from Università IUAV di Venezia. His teaching, research and professional practice span Italy and Africa, where he has worked for over fifteen years. He previously served as Associate Professor in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dean of the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Rwanda, and Associate Professor at the German University in Cairo. Since 2011, he has combined research and teaching with architectural practice. His interests include architectural and urban design, housing morphology and typology, tropical architecture, and heritage. His research explores relationships among settlement forms, climate, and local cultures.
