Mairi Joanne Anderson

Màiri Joanne Anderson has been a CEL at the University of Bologna since 2016 and is an adjunct lecturer at Scienze della Formazione Primaria and SSML Carlo Bo. She holds an MA (Hons) in Italian from the University of Edinburgh and an MEd in TESOL from Sheffield Hallam University, awarded with Distinction. Her work focuses on English for academic and professional purposes, academic writing and language assessment, with a particular interest in the use of artificial intelligence in teaching. Her previous experience includes teaching at the Universitat de Barcelona, ESADE and the British Council. She has published articles on English language teaching and is the author of Prompt English Intermediate Grammar (2026).
