Prof Magda Monari received her "laurea " degree in Industrial
Chemistry from the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry of the
University of Bologna in 1982. She obtained her Ph. D. in Chemistry
from the Faculty of Sciences of the same University in 1987 working
under the supervision of Prof. V.G. Albano (Ph.D. thesis title: '
Polynuclear organometallic compounds containing the CS2 unit:
synthesis and structural characterization' ).
Subsequently she spent more than one year and half (1
October 1987-31 May 1989) as postdoc with Prof. J. Lewis and Prof.
B.F.G. Johnson at the University Chemical Laboratory of the
University of Cambridge, UK.
From 1990 to 1998 she has held the position of
'Ricercatore' in the Chemistry Department "G. Ciamician" of the
Faculty of Sciences of the University of Bologna. She is currently
associate professor in General and Inorganic Chemistry in the same
Faculty of Sciences of the University of Bologna.
The whole scientific activity of Prof. M. Monari is documented
by over 160 papers.
