Short Bio

PhD in Global Histories, Cultures and Politics (41st cycle) at the Department of History and Cultures.
Research project in Political Geography (Critical Border Studies), provisionally titled “Interoperability mechanisms of border databases and their implications for migrants’ regularization procedures within the European Union technological zone.”
Supervisor: Prof. Martina Tazzioli; Co-supervisor: Prof. Claudio Minca.

The research examines the consequences of interoperability mechanisms within the European Union’s border control technologies, with particular attention to databases such as Eurodac and SIS II. By analysing their functioning, it investigates the broader implications of the EU’s growing reliance on digital tools to regulate human mobility and the right of asylum, including migrants’ own perspectives. Positioned between Critical Border Studies and Digital Surveillance Studies, the project explores the geographies of mobility and the implementation of the digital border.
