Maurizio Mazzoni

Associate professor at the University of Bologna since 6 april 2020, his research activity is focused of the normal veterinary anatomy. His research interests are focused on the macro and microscopic study of animal species of zootechnical interest. In the last period he focused his research on the study of Enteric Nervous System, the study of the emerging meat abnormalities in poultry (white striping, wooden breast and spaghetti meat). Furthermore, has conducted studies related to the presence and distribution of alpha-transducin and alpha-gustucin immunoreactive cells and their enteroendocrine profile in the gastrointestinal tract of humans, pigs, chicken and in some fish species of commercial interest.
Engaged in national and international research projects, he collaborates with national and European institutes. Author of several publications appeared in prestigious international journals. Go to the Curriculum vitae
