Luigi Ricciardiello

Luigi Ricciardiello received his degree in Medicine in 1994 and in 2001 completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. He has performed research on colorectal cancer for 8 years in the USA, at UC San Diego and BUMC in Dallas. Since 2014 he is Associate Professor in Gastroenterology. He is chairman of the research committee of United European Gastroenterology (UEG) and member of the board of directors of UEG, SIGE, FISMAD and UNIGASTRO. Dal 2021 è membro del Consiglio Direttivo del CLUST-ER Health. The research activity is aimed at the prevention of colon cancer. He is the coordinator of projects funded by the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research and co-coordinator of the European Pathway-27 project. He is responsible for the PDTA for colorectal cancer at the Sant'Orsola Malpighi University Hospital. He is the author of 110 full-length papers.
