Ludovica De Panfilis

She is a Tenure Track Researcher and Professor at DIMEC since October 2024. In 2016, she obtained a PhD in Bioethics, following her Master’s degree in Philosophical Sciences. In 2022, she achieved the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in History of Medicine and Bioethics (MEDS-02/C). From 2016 to 2018, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CIRSFID - UNIBO, and later as a Healthcare Researcher at the IRCCS of AUSL Reggio Emilia. Her research focuses on the applications of bioethics in healthcare contexts.Her publications mainly address the following areas: ethical decision-making; advance care planning; empirical bioethics; and complex healthcare interventions. She served as WP leader and ethics advisor of several european research projects.

She is currently President of the Regional Clinical Ethics Committee of Emilia-Romagna and Vice-President of the Ethics Committee of the Italian Society of Palliative Care
