Assistant Professor  at the University of Bologna since 1999, she carries out her research in the field of blood disorders. His research interests are focused on the study of leukemic stem cells and the inflammatory microenvironment. Currently the research activity is focused on the role of circulating microvesicles in the inflammatory network of myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Training

Graduated in Biological Sciences in 1983 at the University of Bologna, she obtained the PhD in Experimental Hematology in 1993 and the Specialization in Microbiology and Virology in 1999.

 Academic career

Assistant Professor  at the University of Bologna since 1999 in the disciplinary sector MED/15 Blood Diseases, at the Institute of Hematology “L. and A. Seràgnoli / Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine of the University of Bologna. In 2012 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in the Sector A06.

 

Teaching activity

 Professor of "Hematology" in the Degree Course in Techniques of Biomedical Laboratory  of the University of Bologna from 2006 to 2012.

Professor of "Biology and Genetics" of the Master Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery of the University of Bologna in 2014/2015

Professor in "Blood Diseases" - Integrated Course: Molecular Bases of Organ Pathologies II), Master's Degree in Biotecnologie Mediche from the University of Bologna from 2013 to 2019.
