Short Bio

Luca Vittori is a PhD candidate in General and Social Pedagogy at the University of Bologna and serves as Executive Member of the UNESCO Chair in Global Citizenship Education. His research lies at the intersection of Global Citizenship Education, forced migration, and university policies for inclusion.

His doctoral research examines university corridors for refugees (UNICORE) as both an educational and political dispositif, highlighting the tensions between formal access, performance expectations, and resettlement processes. Within this framework, he has developed the concept of “accelerated hyper-inclusivity” to describe dynamics that require refugee students to achieve high performance within compressed timeframes, often at the expense of social relationship-building and spaces of agency.

His research interests include: Critical and decolonial approaches to Global Citizenship Education; Refugee inclusion in higher education; Complementary pathways and university policies for the right to education; The relationship between education, social justice, and institutional transformation
