Atlas of Italian "Giallo". Media History and Popular Culture (1954-2020), Luca Prono is currently working on
authorship and
genre in thriller novels, films and TV series produced during the Italian First Republic. Other research interests, on which he has published articles in academic journals and chapters in edited volumes, include queer theory, post-colonial literature and American studies. He has also edited a collection of critical views on H. D. Thoreau and, for Greenwood Press,
The Encyclopedia of American Gay and Lesbian Popular Culture. He is a regular contributor of the film journal
Cinefilia Ritrovata. He has also authored textbooks of English as a foreign language as well as articles on teaching methodologies and on new technologies, building on his previous experience as a teacher and then as headmaster in Italian state schools.
