He graduated in Computer Science Engineering (master degree) in 2007 at the University of Padua.He obtained the Ph.D. in Bioengineering in 2012, with a dissertation on "Data Mining in Clinical Practice for the Quantification of Motor Impairment in Parkinson's Disease ." He is currently a Junior assistant professor at the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi" (DEI).
His main research interest is in the application of machine learning, signal processing, and statistics to movement analysis. In particular, his research focuses on the analysis of data from wearable sensors in order to extract digital biomarkers to quantify motor impairments in neurological disease, to detect and predict falls in the elderly population, and to assess and provide tele-rehabilitation.
He has worked in several major European and international projects in these fields, such as the Mobilise-D project (https://www.mobilise-d.eu/ ) and the DARE project (https://www.fondazionedare.it/en/)
