Biography and Education
Born in Urbino in 1991, he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Automation Engineering and his PhD in Biomedical, Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Bologna. He was a research fellow at the University’s Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering (DEI) from 2019 to 2022 and has held this position again since 2025. In 2026, he co-founded XAI-Tronix, a spin-off of the University of Bologna.
Research Activities
His main research interests include the modelling, control and diagnostics of mechatronic systems and electric drives, with particular emphasis on advanced servomechanisms for Industry 4.0. His work also focuses on developing estimation and control algorithms and implementing them on embedded systems and multiprocessor architectures, with applications in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
