Adjunct lecturer and teaching assistant at the University of Bologna since 2021, he is a software engineer specialising in the design and development of cloud-oriented distributed systems. His main interests include microservice architectures, Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, functional programming and DevOps practices. Alongside his teaching, he works as a Backend and Full-Stack Engineer, with a particular focus on integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into software systems and on agentic programming.

Education

He received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna in 2019, graduating 110/110 cum laude with a thesis on the analysis and implementation of the Flocking model with FLAME GPU. In 2024 he received his Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university, graduating 110/110 cum laude with a thesis on the design and implementation of a scalable domain-specific language foundation for ScaFi with Scala 3.

Teaching

Since 2021 he has taught continuously at the University of Bologna as an adjunct lecturer and teaching assistant:

  • Software Design and Development (since 2023): laboratory guidance and academic support in the Computer Systems Technologies degree programme.
  • Python Tools for Machine Learning (2025-2026): co-author of the teaching materials and lesson scripts for the official Edvance MOOC platform.
  • Algorithms and Data Structures (2021): laboratory sessions, exam assessment and design of an automated test correction system.
  • Object-Oriented Programming (2022-2023): direct student support during laboratory hours.
  • C Programming (2022-2023 and since 2026): direct student support during laboratory hours and exam assessment.

From March to June 2022 he taught Computer Science at the "Alessandro Serpieri" Scientific High School, covering C, HTML/CSS, SQL, databases, networking and data science.

Professional experience

Since 2024 he has been a Backend Engineer at Meravit srl, where he designs and develops cloud-oriented distributed systems and microservice architectures inspired by Clean Architecture, for both cloud and on-premise deployments, following Agile and DevOps methodologies. He co-authored a microservice development framework and built microservices integrating artificial intelligence services (OpenAI API).

Since 2023 he has been a Full-Stack Engineer for EDHREC LLC (Space Cow Media). Having started as a volunteer open-source contributor, he is now the lead maintainer of the core repositories, leading the design and development of the backend services of a specialised search engine (Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes) and maintaining the public web application (TypeScript, React, Next.js).

From 2020 to 2024 he was Backend and DevOps Engineer at the innovative start-up EasyDesk, where he designed a microservices backend based on Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture (C#, .NET), built CI/CD pipelines and provided strategic IT consulting for a shared-spaces booking platform.

In 2018-2019 he completed a curricular internship at SimpleNetworks - Digital Innovation, developing a healthcare management web application (Angular, Docker) and a compliance study for an electronic invoice generator.

Skills
  • Software engineering: cloud architectures, microservices, Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, DevOps and CI/CD automation.
