Curriculum vitae

Luca Barbaresi is assistant professor of enviromental control and building phisycs at University of Bologna. He graduated in Architecture and Building Engineering at university of Bologna. At the same University he obtained a Ph.D. in Nuclear, Energetic and Environmental Control Engineering.
His main research activities have been devoted to building acoustics, noise control and room acoustics. In these fields he has carried out theoretical and experimental research on the laboratory and field measurements of airborne sound insulation.
In recent years his scientific activity has been carried out mainly in the following areas: structural and airborne noise control in timber buildings, acoustic properties of wood.
He is the Italian delegate for the “CEN/TC 126/WG 2: Prediction of the acoustic performance of buildings from the performance of elements, “CEN/TC 126/WG 7 Laboratory measurement of airborne and structure borne sound from building equipment” and “CEN/TC 126/WG 6 Laboratory measurement of the flanking transmission”.
He is "Tecnico competente in acustica" (Competent technician in acoustics) according to Italian law 447/95.
