Curriculum vitae

Loretta Secchi, obtained a Magna cum Laude university degree in History of the Art from the University of Udine, Italy (Università degli Studi di Udine, Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia).
Actually she is curator and responsible of the Tactile Museum “Anteros” in Bologna. She also teaches on contract, Special Pedagogy of the Arts at the University “Alma Mater Studiorum” in Bologna, Faculty of Sciences of Education (Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione), and, from 1994, she is titular teacher in Iconology and Iconography at the University Primo Levi in Bologna. Her studies, concerning psychology of the perception applied to pedagogy of the arts and the visual impaired people, have been divulgated in Italy and abroad, i.e. Japan (Yokosuka and Tokyo), Finland (Helsinki), Germany (Stuttgard and Marburg), Austria (Wien), Russia (Moscow), Spain (Madrid).
Her researches about perception of the pictorial works of art in the disabled people of the sight, have entirely been translated in japanese and adopted at N.I.S.E. – The National Institute of Special Education (Yokosuka, Japan): in 2002 she kept there a seminar for expert people in study of art and pedagogy.
Among her main studies concerning iconology, she wrote the Introduction to Erwin Panofsky, “Imago Pietatis and other writings” (Nota introduttiva a “Imago Pietatis e altri scritti” di Erwin Panofsky – Torino, Italy 1998). In 2004 she wrote the book “The aesthetical education for the integration” (“L’educazione estetica per l’integrazione” - Roma, Italy 2004) concerning psychology of pedagogy of the art in disabled persons of the sight.
