Short Bio

I am a PhD student at the Center for Research on Complex Automated Systems (CASY), Department of Electrical and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi”, University of Bologna. My PhD project, supervised by Professor Giuseppe Notarstefano, looks at innovative optimal control strategies for systems whose models are subjected to uncertainties.

I also gained both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with honours in Automation Engineering at the University of Bologna. My Master’s thesis was entitled “A First-order Methodology for Nonlinear Optimal Control”, where an iterative algorithm for the solution of constrained optimal control problems was proposed.

In 2023 I was appointed Visiting Researcher at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, USA. There I was advised by professor Aaron D. Ames.
