Short Bio

PhD in Mechanics and Advanced Engineering Sciences.

Radiation Protection Expert of 3° degree.

Research at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Bologna, Activities at the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN).

Primary research activities focus on advanced Monte Carlo modeling for medical and industrial applications, as well as radiation protection. Specific expertise includes variance reduction techniques based on adjoint importance functions and discrete models using the CADIS approach.

Experimental work on Pulsed Plasma Focus devices for the generation of charged particles and photons, with particular emphasis on flash-regime dosimetry and modeling of biological system evolution.

Tutoring and lecturing in Radiation Protection, Mathematical Methods, Foundations of Informatics, Computer Lab, Machine Building.

Member of the Scientific Council, tutor, and lecturer for the Level II Master’s in Ionizing Radiations and Radiation Protection.
