Prof. Lorenzo Fuccio is an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Bologna and an internationally recognized expert in advanced endoscopy, colorectal cancer prevention, bowel preparation, and prognostic modeling. He serves as Chair of the ESGE Research Committee and member of the ESGE Governing Board, leading several multicenter collaborative studies and multiple ESGE Technical & Technology Reviews. With >265 publications, an H-index of 47, and consistent contributions to top-impact journals, he has shaped methodological standards and educational frameworks in GI endoscopy across Europe. He is Co-Editor of Endoscopy and actively involved in training, guideline development, and innovation in quality improvement and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
