PhD, Research fellow at the Department of Arts, he is a theatre critic, cultural planner and educator.
At Unibo, he teaches Performing arts in the between art and care at the Professional Education, Laboratory of Theatrical Direction at the DAMS and Promotion and development of the performing arts at the Master in Entrepreneurship.
His fields of studies are the “reality trend” in contemporary performing arts, the argentinian theatre and Educational and Community Theatre. He is currently conducting research on the new forms of spectatorship in theatre and dance (Department of the Arts, tutor Matteo Casari).
His recent publications include: Scrivere con la realtà. Oggetti teatrali non identificati 2000-19 (Cue Press, 2023); (ed., with F. Biondi) Incontro al futuro. I teatri delle residenze in Italia: un'inchiesta (L'arboreto Edizioni, 2023)
As a critic, is one of the founders of Altre Velocità and since 2020 has co-directed "La Falena", a magazine of the Teatro Metastasio in Prato. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Ubu Awards.
