Lorenzo Chiarofonte

Lorenzo Chiarofonte received his PhD at SOAS University of London. He conducts research activities in ethnomusicology and Asian musics, with a particular focus on possession music and dance in Burma/Myanmar, theater and music in the courts of Southeast Asia, religious and ritual soundscapes, performance analysis, popular music and media practices. He collaborates with the Intercultural Institute of Comparative Musical Studies (IISMC) of the Giorgio Cini Foundation (Venice).
