Lidia Carol Gerones

Lídia Carol Geronès holds a PhD in Humanities and Culture (Doctorado en Ciencias Humanas y de la Cultura) from the University of Girona. She teaches Catalan Language, History of Catalan Culture and Catalan Literature at the University of Bologna, and Catalan Language at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her research lies within Iberian and Comparative Studies, with a particular focus on contemporary Catalan language, literature and culture. Her work explores the relationships between literature, cinema and the visual arts, representations of memory and history, multilingualism, and representations of otherness, diversity and marginality in contemporary European cultures. She is the author of books, edited volumes and articles published in national and international scholarly venues. Go to the Curriculum vitae
