Licia Proserpio is Junior Assistant Professor at the Department of History and Culture, University of Bologna (Italy), and teaches at the School of Liberal Studies and Humanities, UPES (India). She has an interdisciplinary background in the social sciences and her research focuses on education policy, social movements, and civil society, with particular attention to Asian contexts. Her current research examines access to and participation in higher education for refugee and displaced students and the role of universities as safe spaces in South and Southeast Asia.
