Short Bio

Research fellow in the group of Prof. Pierbiagio Pieri. Research interests broadly based on quantum many-body theory of ultracold atomic gases and condensed matter systems, specifically superfluidity and superconductivity. Currently working on Bose-Fermi mixtures and on their role as quantum simulators.

Recent work concerns dissipation mechanisms in fermionic superfluidity (BCS-BEC crossover) of atomic gases and the simulation of a number of condensed matter effects like the Josephson effect, the proximity effect and persistent currents. In parallel the role of correlation and dimensionality has been analysed in tunneling spectra of unconventional superconductors.

Previous work at Imperial College London was based on magnetic properties of graphene and metal-organic coumpounds. At the Goethe unversity of Frankfurt the magnetic, vibrational and electronic properties of low dimensional materials have been investigated through large scale DFT simulations.
