Leonardo Pasqui is a research fellow at the University of Bologna, where he earned a Ph.D. in European Law in 2023 with a dissertation on territorial inequalities in the EU. In September 2023, he was a visiting scholar at Jean Moulin University Lyon 3, under the supervision of Professor Gaelle Marti.
Between April and May 2025, he was selected as a Stratego Visiting Researcher at the Law and Government Research Group of the University of Antwerp, working under the supervision of Professor Patricia Popelier. He is actively involved in European research projects such as GEMS, which explores gender equality in multilevel systems, and Trancityons, which investigates the role of cities in supporting democratic transitions in Italy and Europe. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Social Rights (CRIDS). His research interests include territorial disparities, gender equality, multilevel governance, and social rights.
