Leonardo Battista is Assistant Professor in Labour Law at the University of Bologna. He was previously a Post-doc researcher at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Bologna. He is a member of the research unit of European and national projects as well as a Visiting researcher at Lund University, Universidad de Córdoba and Munster University.
He is the author of the monograph "Il lavoro autonomo dell'Unione Europea", published by Cacucci Editore, Bari, 2024 and the monograph 'Undeclared Work and the Role of the European Labor Authority,' published by Cacucci Editore, Bari, 2022 (italian).
Since March 2024, he has been included, following a competitive selection based on qualifications under the Call for Experts, in the European Labour Authority's (ELA) Pool of Experts.
Winner of the Prize in memory of Prof. Marco Biagi for the best Doctoral Thesis on labor law and industrial relations announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and ADAPT - Association for International and Comparative Studies on Labor Law and Industrial Relations.
