Laura Mercolini è Professoressa Associata di Chimica Farmaceutica (CHIM/08) presso il Dipartimento di Farmacia e Biotecnologie (FaBiT), Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. È abilitata al ruolo di Professoressa Ordinaria di Chimica Farmaceutica.  

È Responsabile del Gruppo di Ricerca di Analisi Farmaco-Tossicologica (PTA Lab) presso il Dipartimento FaBiT, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

È inoltre Ricercatrice presso il Centro Interdipartimentale per la Ricerca Industriale, Settore Meccanica Avanzata e Materiali (CIRI MAM), Unità Operativa di Chimica e Tossicologia dei Materiali, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

 

 STUDI

 1998, Maturità classica, con sperimentazione linguistica, conseguita presso il Liceo Classico Sperimentale “Terenzio Mamiani” di Pesaro (PU).
2005, Laurea in Chimica e Tecnologia Farmaceutiche, conseguita presso l'Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.
2010, Dottorato di Ricerca in Scienze Farmaceutiche, conseguito presso l'Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

 ATTIVITÀ DI RICERCA

- Dal 2005 al 2006 ha effettuato attività di ricerca in qualità di laureato e poi con borse di studio presso il Laboratorio di Analisi Farmaco-Tossicologica, Dipartimento di Scienze Farmaceutiche, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

- Dal 2007 al 2009 è stata dottoranda di ricerca in Scienze Farmaceutiche (XXII Ciclo) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Farmaceutiche dell'Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. 

- Nel 2008, avendo vinto una borsa di studio nell'ambito del Programma Marco Polo, ha trascorso un periodo all'estero come Visiting Ph.D. student presso il Veterans Affairs Medical Center di Long Beach (CA, USA), collaborando con il "Mental Health Group"  (Dott. Lawrence J. Albers, MD) e il "Research and Development Group" (Dott. Christopher Reist, MD, MBA). 

- Nel 2009 ha trascorso un periodo all'estero come Visiting Ph.D. student presso l'Università di Ginevra (Svizzera), collaborando con il “Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry Group” (Prof. Gérard Hopfgartner). 

- Nel 2010 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Scienze Farmaceutiche presso l'Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. 

- Dal 2010 al 2011 è stata assegnista di ricerca post-doc presso il Laboratorio di Analisi Farmaco-Tossicologica del Dipartimento di Scienze Farmaceutiche, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

- Nel 2011 è stata convocata dal "Novartis Centre de Recherche Santé Animale" di Saint-Aubin (Svizzera) per fungere da consulente scientifico per una collaborazione di ricerca.

- Dal 2011 al 2012 è stata assegnista di ricerca post-doc presso il Laboratorio di Analisi Farmaco-Tossicologica del Dipartimento di Scienze Farmaceutiche, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

PREMI E RICONOSCIMENTI

- Nel 2007 è risultata vincitrice di un Premio di Studio per la miglior Tesi di Laurea svolta nell'ambito di ricerche volte al contenimento della mortalità e morbilità in pazienti psichiatrici, mediante il monitoraggio terapeutico dei farmaci.

- Nel 2008 è risultata vincitrice di una Borsa di Studio nell'ambito del Programma Marco Polo, grazie alla quale ha trascorso un periodo all'estero come Visiting Researcher presso il Veterans Affairs Medical Center di Long Beach (CA, USA).

- Nel 2010 ha vinto il premio per la miglior Oral Communication al Congresso 10° SAYCS – Sigma-Aldrich Young Chemists Symposium (Pesaro, PU), Società Chimica Italiana (SCI). 

- Nel 2011 è risultata vincitrice di un Premio di Studio per la miglior Tesi di Dottorato di Ricerca, svolta nel campo dello sviluppo di metodiche analitiche originali per il monitoraggio terapeutico (TDM) in fluidi biologici di farmaci attivi sul sistema nervoso centrale.
