Researcher at the University of Bologna since 2010. Since 2001 I was associated with several national and international research centres, including the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) and CERN in Geneva. In 2004 I was awarded the Italian Physical Society Prize for scientific industriousness, reserved for young graduates. I carry out my research in the field of high-energy physics, focusing in particular on the study of the interactions between the fundamental constituents of matter, in the context of the validity of the Standard Model. Since 2005 I have been a member of the ATLAS collaboration, within which I contributed to the discovery of the Higgs boson and where I currently carry out most of my research. I am author of numerous publications and speaker at various national and international conferences. I am also involved in scientific dissemination and university guidance.
