Research fellow in animal genetics applied to animal breeding, particularly in the area of pig production, in 'Animal and food genetics group' at the Department of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Technology (DISTAL).
Training. I obtained a doctorate in animal genetics applied to pig breeding for the production of heavy pigs destined for ham production. During the 6 months I was abroad at the Center for long non-coding RNA in Technology and Health (RTH) at the University of Copenhagen, I learned the ability to process and analyze gene expression data. I have a master's degree in "Animal Biotechnology" with a grade of 110/110 cum laude from the University of Bologna and a bachelor's degree in "Animal Production Science and Technology" from the University of Pisa.
