Short Bio

Jacopo Pesaresi (1998) is a PhD student in Literary and Philological Cultures (cycle XXXVIII) and teaching assistant at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies at the University of Bologna.

Jacopo Pesaresi conducts his research in the field of Italian literature. His interests focus on 15th-century poetic tradition, both Latin and vernacular, with specific attention to the humanist Basinio da Parma, whose Liber Isottaeus he has published in a translated and annotated edition (Pàtron Editore, 2023). He recently published an edition of an anonymous and unpublished 15th-century Latin epic poem focusing on the war in the Marca fought in 1445 between Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta and Francesco Sforza (Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura, 2025). His doctoral research involves the critical edition of Basinio's elegies composed in Ferrara during his years at the court of Leonello d'Este (1446-1449).

Since 2023, Jacopo Pesaresi has been editor of the band A journal Ecdotica.
