Short Bio

Jacopo Ferretti is a Ph.D. student in Power Electronics at the University of Bologna, in collaboration with the company "High Performance Engineering" in Modena, Italy.

He earned his M.Sc. degree in Electric Vehicle Engineering from Motor Vehicle University of Emilia Romangna (MUNER) and a B.Sc. degree in Computer and Automation Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Marche (UNIVPM).

His Ph.D. studies focuses on the application of wide bandgap semiconductors in automotive and his research interests include the simulation of power electronic converters, PMSM motor control, and semiconductor reliability assessment.

He is currently involved in various European projects focusing on the development of power converters using wide bandgap semiconductors and the analysis of failure prediction using AI.

He was born and grow up in Termoli, Italy, and now makes his home in Bologna.
