Italo Dos Reis Lopes

Meteorology technician at the Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET/RJ) and graduated in meteorology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) working with observed and reanalysis data of meteorological variables, data validation and climatology of Brazilian coastal basins.

Master in Ocean Engineering at UFRJ working with met-ocean data analysis in the South Atlantic ocean, weather forecast modelling (WRF model) and development of met-ocean products for Brazilian ports. PhD at the University of Bologna in the Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges (FRONTIERS) program working with coastal inundation.

Currently, research fellow at the University of Bologna working with model developments for coastal solutions.
