Giada is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Economics Science (DSE) of Alma Mater Studiorum (Bologna, Italy) within the PNRR-funded research project “On the economic sustainability of a regional ecosystem”. She specialises in quantitative research on territorial innovation policies (e.g., Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization, innovation district), industrial policies (new and emerging industries) and regional entrepreneurship (development innovation processes and social innovation). Her area of expertise includes economic modelling and analysis, spatial analysis, and expertise in socioeconomic evaluation methods. In her last appointment as research analyst with expertise in Socio-Economic Impact Assessment methods within a leading UK and IE-based consulting and technology development company, her work centered on exploring the negative effects of increased access, misuse and abuse of digital technologies on public safety and security across various societal groups, particularly women and youth.
