After studying psychology of film music at the University of Padua, he worked as an arranger of popular music, composer for the media, as well as a producer and DJ, performing in over 30 countries worldwide. In 2019 he contributed to the foundation of LA Biennale di Venezia’s Centre for Electronic Music and Multimedia.
During his doctoral studies at the University of Milan, he was a visiting scholar at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where he researched the theory and technological practices of groove composition in popular electronic music. He has published articles on hauntology, musical futurism, the history of EDM, and the intertwining of electroacoustic rhythm and kinetic visual art.
He is a founding member of GRID (Gruppo di Ricerca Italo Disco) and a member of the executive committee of International Association for the Study of Popular Music (Italian branch).
In Bologna, he works in the framework of the FILMUSP research project (Music publishing and cinema: toward a history of soundtrack production in Italy, PRIN 2022).
