Giuseppe Gasparre

Full Professor at UNIBO since 2021, Head of CRBA since 2018, he has been delegate for Research of DIMEC from 2018 to 2021. He holds a MS in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies at UNIBO and a PhD in human genetics at the University of Turin; licensed by the Collegio Superiore UNIBO. His research focuses on mitochondrial genetics, with particular reference to mitochondrial metabolism in solid tumors. He has been coordinator of the European project MEET - Mitochondrial European Educational Training (FP7 Marie Curie) and in the coordinating team and WP leader of the H2020 Marie Curie project TRANSMIT - Translational Significance of Mitochondria in Tumorigenesis. He co-authored >100 scientific publications on Clarivate-impacted journals and collaborates with several European and US research groups. His research is funded by the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC), Fondazione Veronesi, the Italian Ministry of Health, the Italian Ministry of Education and the Worldwide Cancer Research, as well as by the EU.
