2010-2014 Section of Arabic, Coptic and Islamic Studies, Main Duties: 1) Field Research Project on Sufis in Contemporary Egypt; 2) Scientific co-direction of the four-year International Research Program « Les mystiques juives, chrétiennes et musulmanes dans le Proche-Orient médiéval, viie-xvie siècles : interculturalités et contextes historiques » (2008-2011). The Research Program was proposed and implemented by the IFAO in collaboration with IFPO, Institut français du Proche-Orient, Damascus-Beirut ; CNRS – France, UMR 6125; MMSH (Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l’Homme), Aix-en-Provence; University of Salento, Lecce, Italy ; 3) Researches on Sufism in Egyptian Medieval History; 4) Scientific direction of the Conference Al-Tasawwuf al-Islâmî fî Misr khilâl al-‘usûr al-wustâ, min al-qarn al-awwal al-hijrî ilâ al-qarn al-‘âshir al-hijrî ( «Muslim Mystics in Medieval Egypt, 1st to 10th Islamic centuries (7th to 16th centuries A.D.») organized by the IFAO in Cairo in collaboration with the University of Minufiyya (Egypt), Department of Islamic Philosophy. The Conference was held on November, 21, 2010 at CFCC – Centre Français de Culture et Coopération in Cairo.
