Since 2025, he has served as Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, where his research focuses on labour law. In addition to numerous articles published in leading academic journals in the field, in 2020 he authored the monograph Contrattazione collettiva e pluralità di categorie, which examines the controversial issues of so-called "pirate" collective agreements and the definition of the scope of application of collective agreements. His current research interests focus primarily on two areas: the impact of climate change on working conditions and the regulation of port labour under Italian and EU law. Over the years, he has participated in a European research project on industrial relations in the food sector and in a PRIN (Projects of Significant National Interest) research project on in-work poverty. He is a member of the editorial boards of the journals Lavoro e diritto and Open. He also serves as Deputy Coordinator of the Single-Cycle Master's Degree Programme in Law at the Ravenna Campus of the University of Bologna.
