Giulia Masi is actually a Post-Doc in the DICAM department at the University of Bologna. Her research is focusing on the development of sustainable inorganic materials by alkali activation in the industrial and construction fields, investigating the durability aspects with a multi-analytical approach. She got her PhD in 2018 in the framework of EU M-ERA.net B-IMPACT project (2015-2017). Her PhD research was awarded by two prizes: National Grant AIMAT 2021 for the best PhD thesis in the field of Materials Science (ING-IND/22) between 2018-2020 and Coating 2023 Early Career Investigator Award promoted by MDPI. She was Visiting Researcher abroad: 7-month at the Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia, in 2013, and 6-month at the University of Toulouse, France, in 2017. After her PhD, she was a post-Doc at DICAM (University of Bologna) for 3 years (2018-2021) and an assistant professor at DICAM (University of Bologna) for 3 years (2021-2025).
