Short Bio

Giovanni Agostinis received a Ph.D in Political Science from Sciences Po Paris and the IMT School for Advanced Studies (double degree). He holds a Master of Science in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford. Between 2017 and 2022, Giovanni was Assistant Professor at the Instituto de Ciencia Política of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He held research fellowships at the German Institute of Global and Areas Studies (GIGA) and the Instituto de Políticas y Bienes Públicos of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).    

His research deals with regional governance processes and structures, with an emphasis on the comparative analysis of the institutional design and effects of regional organisations. Currently, he is conducting a research project on regional health governance in Latin America, Europe, and Africa. Giovanni's research has been published in journals such as European Journal of International Relations, Review of International Studies, International Relations, International Studies Review, Governance, and Journal of Common Market Studies.

STUDENTS WHO INTEND TO ATTEND THE SESSION WILL HAVE TO SEND AN EMAIL BY JANUARY 22 SPECIFYING (I) THE PROGRAMME THEY INTEND TO APPLY FOR, AND (II) THE QUESTIONS THEY WANT TO ADDRESS TO PROF. AGOSTINIS.
