Short Bio

PhD in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Bologna, he conducts research in the fields of the sociology of work and economic processes. His research interests focus particularly on the exploitation of human and environmental resources across production chains, with a specific emphasis on digital technologies. In particular, he has studied labour and socio-ecological transformations within platform capitalism. He has been working on these topics since his Master’s degree (2016), where he defended a thesis titled "Towards a Sociology of Materiality: The Tantalum Supply Chain from Mines to ICTs", offering a critique of the rhetoric of immateriality in the Information Society. Since 2022, he has been engaged in research on territorial inequalities in "left behind places".

Among other roles, he is a member of the scientific committee of the book series "Ecologia Politica" (Orthotes) and the editorial board of the "Ritratti" series (Rosenberg & Sellier). Since 2023, he has been Managing Editor of Inequalities - Journal of Critical Inequality Studies. Go to the Curriculum vitae
