Giorgia Borgnino

Giorgia Borgnino holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Turin, a Master’s Degree with honours in Governmental studies from the University of Turin and a Master’s Degree in Comparative Political Science and Sociology from the Institute of Political Studies in Bordeaux. In 2019 she began a double degree Ph.D. program co-sponsored by the University of Bologna and Radboud University (Nijmegen). Her research interests include parties and coalitions in government, elections, electoral manifestos and campaign promises. In particular, her doctoral research explores the extent to which the economic performance of a country affects the policymaking process and how the macro-economic context interacts with partisan ideologies and parties’ capacities in shaping policies.
