Professor and researcher in natural language processing, text mining, data mining and data science, with particular references to Artificial Intelligence methods based on machine learning and deep neural networks, among which large language models, both for unstructured and structured data and big data domains, even with graph machine learning. He develops the research in national and international research projects, he co-authored +100 publications, mainly in international journal and top congresses, among which AAAI, EMNLP, IJCAI, ICLR, ECAI, ACL, COLING. He is editorial board member of the journal Neurocomputing and has organised workshops in prestigious international conferences (e.g. VLDB, AAMAS, ECIR etc.) and collaborates to scientific projects with research centers and public and private companies. He leads the
research team in NLP at DISI in Cesena.
