Professor at University of Bologna since 2002, develops his research in the field of HVAC systems and Microfluidics. The main research interests are focused on the analysis of convective heat transfer in microdevices, micro heat exchangers, HVAC systems, air-source heat pumps, Solar thermal energy systems. He is involved in many research projects at national and European level.
For his research results, he is present among the World's Top 2% Scientists 2020 (Stanford University).
Solid links with many European Academic Institutions (KIT (Karlsruhe, D), ICA-INSA (Toulouse, F), Stokes Institute (Limerick, IL)) have been developed during the past years.
