Giancarlo Tamburello

Researcher at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, he conducts his research in the field of earth fluid geochemistry. His research interests are particularly focused on the study of volcanic fluids in relation to volcanic activity, and the study of fluids in sedimentary basins. He is involved in both national and international research projects and in volcanic monitoring activities at his institute, where he develops algorithms for real-time analysis of geochemical data. He is the author of numerous publications and codes and software used by the volcanology community for research and monitoring activities.
